Base is an Ethereum L2 that offers a secure, low-cost, developer-friendly way for anyone, anywhere, to build decentralized apps. Built by Coinbase and secured by Ethereum using Optimism, it invites developers to build apps on an open, low-fee platform backed by one of the biggest names in the blockchain space.

Base will be the on-chain home for Coinbase, and will leverage their experience in the industry to enable bridging between various L1s, L2s, and networks such as Bitcoin and Solana.
